This week we opened our US headquarters in El Segundo and rebranded to Launchpad Build AI.
This is the next chapter for our company.
Both were very easy decisions.
El Segundo puts us at the nexus of deep tech, physical AI, manufacturing, and defense tech innovation. The ecosystem has all of the key players: aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing. Customers, partners, and talent all in one place.
“The Gundo” is where deployments will happen and where the unicorns in this space will be built, with a peer group that will push us to do better.
The rebrand is just as straightforward.
We are an AI company. Not a robotics integrator. Not a consultancy. The core of what we do is building intelligence that designs and runs manufacturing systems. AI is embedded in everything that we do.
Launchpad Build AI makes that clear.
Our Manufacturing Language Model sits at the center of that. We reduce the complexity, cost, and time from first meeting to happy customer. That matters for large enterprises and for the small businesses that make up 97% of the roughly 400,000 factories across the US and UK, most of which have been priced out of automation.
As my favorite author Pierce Brown writes, “Steel is power. Money is power. But of all things in the world, words are power.”
We are exactly where we should be, and exactly who we should be.
